| Miss Allison |
| Allison Perkins is a native Texan who received her BFA in Modern Dance from TCU in Fort Worth. She has furthered her education through intensive workshops at New York University, and Texas Women’s University. She has trained under such prestigious names as Fernando Bujones, Doug Varone Co., Ron Brown Co., Creach Co., Sean Curran, Lisa Race, Momix, Chuck Davis, Risa Steinberg, Germaine Salsberg, Li Chou Cheng, Elizabeth Gillespie, Kerry Kreiman, Susan Douglas Roberts, and Peter Yen. Allison has been teaching and choreographing dance at SDA since the studio opened in 1995. She teaches all levels of jazz, modern lyrical, Ballet, tap, and pre-school. She choreographs dance for company and recital performances. Additionally, Allison extends her talents as a dance professional to the local Montessori school in Colleyville. Prior to SDA, Allison had begun her teaching career at the Reggie Turnbo Studios in Fort Worth. |
