Miss Kate
Kate started dancing in Indiana at age five, and she moved to
Southlake, Texas in 1993.  She is a home grown pupil of Southlake
Dance Academy and blossomed under the influence of Pam and Allison
Perkins.  While attending Southlake Carroll High School, Kate was a
member of the Emerald Belles.   Kate is a recent graduate of the
University of Texas in Denton where she obtained a bachelor of Fine
Arts; her major was Drawing and  Painting, with a minor in Dance.  She
loves all forms of dance, but  she especially enjoys modern, ballet, and
African. Kate danced with the African Dance Ensemble at UNT for
two years.  She taught aerobics
in Denton for one year, but found that her true calling was teaching  in a
dance studio with young children.

Kate teaches five, six and seven year olds, intermediate tap/jazz  along with
several of our hip-hop classes.
